Akaroa radio broadcasts into the Akaroa Basin area with spill over to the remote back bays via terrestrial transmitters. Now we are truly global radio station reaching around the world via the internet. So we are also available on smart phones and many other devices by installing apps like tunein radio. Our roots were as a community type station and we still don't make a commercial profit,  though that may change in the future as we reach out further around New Zealand and the world. Our focus still is to provide value radio services to visitors and local people alike here on Banks Peninsula in New Zealand but more importantly also to the world at large. Our format truly is global with contributor's and new artists from all over the world. Our goals simply are to provide easy listening radio twenty four hours a day and providing value to those listening and to the sponsors using the service to promote their services and activities.
